If you’ve been required to work from home for at least 1 day since the 6th April 2020 due to the corona-virus, you can claim tax relief from HMRC for the entire tax year which could be worth £60 – £125!

There are some conditions for making a working from home tax relief claim, but you may still be entitled to a portion of this tax relief even if you don’t meet the below criteria:

  • You have been required to work from home for 1 day due to the corona-virus since 06/04/2020
  • Your employer required you to work from home
  • Your employer hasn’t provided any extra expenses for working from home

To start your tax relief claim, visit the brand new microservice that just been revamped by HMRC. It will only take about 5 minutes to complete.

Martin Lewis has been covering this story on his blog and was shocked that HMRC confirmed that someone only needs to have worked from home for ONE DAY since 6 April 2020 to be entitled to a full year’s tax relief.

This is great news for our recent clients as we have seen an increase in buyers and renters looking for properties with office space.

If you don’t think you’re entitled to make a claim, it is still worth checking by visiting the working-from-home microservice.

With many people struggling financially recently, having a few extra pounds in the bank will help ease the burden, so please share this post with as many people as you can to help spread the word.
